While the rest of castle gardens are full of flowers and
shrubs, the small walled kitchen garden is used to grow
herbs, fruit and vegetables.

A path leads down to the Gilliechattan’s little stone
cottage - and between the east tower and an ancient
pear tree there’s a clothesline where Albion’s freshly
laundered nappies are hung out to dry.
